The restaurant I work for serves fresh baked rolls with every meal. The other night we were slower than usual, which meant we had a bunch of rolls left over (our policy is once they are made, they need to be baked, we don’t freeze the dough itself). Instead of throwing the rolls away, I took some home to make one of my family’s favorite desserts, bread pudding!
My mom usually makes this dessert using the left over Italian or French bread from the previous weeks dinner. Being that the bread needs to be a bit stale, I knew come Sunday night (when my family gets together for dinner) the bread would be perfect!
